We have found that using computer aided tracing of digital camera images is as accurate as contract racing, but has the advantage of being quicker. It has, in fact, a number of advantages:
• It can provide both area and perimeter measurements.
• It also provides an image of the ulcer.

Evaluation of the Effect of Foam Sclerotherapy on the Healing of a Leg Ulcer
Mr A had his ulcer 3 months prior to referral, He waited 24 weeks for a duplex scan, and had foam sclerotheraphy to his greater saphenous vein. Healing took place in week 29.

Case Study 2 – Evalutating the Effect of a Silver Dressing
The dressing was applied for a one week period only. The photographs show the wound had decreased in size by 33.36%.
